About

About CVE

We serve vulnerable children in the Magdalena de Kino region of Sonora, Mexico by providing holistic, family-style care rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

By addressing the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and social needs of each child under our care, we pray that they might become community changers and influencers for the gospel in Magdalena and beyond.

CVE is a ministry of the Apostolic Christian Church of America through the HarvestCall organization.

Our Model

Primary caregivers live in the house with the children and are supported by an assistant caregiver. Each house is independently managed, with their own schedules and way of doing things, aligned with CVE’s vision and values, in order to best meet the needs of the children in their house.

Within this family-style childcare, CVE provides discipleship, a high quality education, and training in certain work-related skills depending on their age. In addition, some children also receive counseling from a trained counselor.

Our Board

The members of our board of directors are servant leaders who have made a significant contribution to our mission. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
L to R: Jeff Beer (Milford), Nate Knochel (Phoenix), Keith Schieler (Morris North), Todd Kaeb (Cissna Park), Tom Klotzle (Altadena), Dennis Rassi (Austin/Bastrop)
